While at the Sociedade Nacional das Belas Artes for the 50DE25 exhibition, I also had the opportunity to see the much larger exhibition marking the 50th anniversary of Mozambiques independence, proclaimed on June 25, 1975, following the April 25 Revolution and the Lusaka Accords. Unfortunately, by the time you read this article, the collective exhibition has already ended, as has 50DE25.
It was my intention to publish this blog entry weeks ago, but as we all know Time flies like an arrow
Natrlich war noch mehr im Ofen. Z.B. diese groe Schale.
Love these sculptures around an oriel window on John A. Campbell's 1902 eight storey commercial office block on West George Street in Glasgow.
Stylized 3D background for a short fairy-tale comic, made in 2006.
A friend of mine, Pieter Hogenbirk, made the comic drawings, and another friend, Patty Klein, wrote the scenario, a frog-turns-into-prince parody, and shes the main character in the comic: Princess Patty.
In my opinion the sculptor captured the soul of a fisherwoman very well. "Will my husband ever come back"In a world thats sprinting to the finish line, it feels like an act of rebellion to move so slow.
Beschouwing Unguided Tours. Beelden van Henk Visch in museumpark Museum Belvdre. Daar te zien tot 21 september 2025.
Habe eben den Brennofen ausgerumt und bin happy. Mit der Farbkombi der ersten Stele bin ich zwar noch nicht zufrieden, aber die zweite passt.

I've finished the reassembly of this sculpture that broke. Might need to paint the epoxy and blend it all together. Will see what Peter has to say about it.

Decided to port my space cat to Blender for a Cycles rendering.
See a previous post in this thread for the SDF Modeler rendering.
I like both renderings, but I prefer this version.
This in the Math and Sciences Center at Emory University, in Atlanta, Georgia is entitled "1440 Cans," by Benjamin Gadbaw. It is a and a sculpture. 20 aluminum cans across and 72 down it seems. Created for a recycled art show in 2007. We discovered it while exploring the campus. Pretty cool.
Have a good day.
Description of the from the artist's website:
An allegorical representation of Canada on the 1888 Doulton Fountain on Glasgow Green. Originally modelled by Willian Silver Frith, it was restored, along with the rest of the fountain, in 2002. This was no easy task as by then, the head and torso of both figures were missing, as were the beaver on the right, the axe being held by the female figure and the moose's antlers.
