The piece belongs to a line of balanced sculptures called The Companions.
It has its own little stand to stand on. It is balanced so it stands on it's leg and requires no additional support. Infact it is not attached to the stand and can just as easily stand on your hand if picked up.

Les Trois Grces dans la mythologie grecque sont les desses du charme, de la beaut et de la crativit.
Sculpture "L'enlvement de Proserpine" de Gian Lorenzo Bernini, 17me sicle.
Proserpine est une divinit romaine quivalant Persphone qui est dans la mythologie grecque celle qui a cr les saisons.
Elle est la fille de Crs (ou Dmter) et Jupiter (Zeus en grec).
Malgr son enlvement par Pluton et son statut de Reine des Enfers, Proserpine est aussi une desse du printemps.

Momentan mag ich diese Glasur sehr. Daher wird viel damit experimentiert. Da sie nicht verluft, lassen sich prima klar abgegrenzte Bereiche gestalten.

Blu Tack Art
My attention was drawn today to this scuplture which is currently on display in the Department of Physics at Maynooth University. The artist and subject are unknown (to me) and the work is not dated, but the material is clearly Blu Tack, a putty-like pressure-sensitive adhesive commonly used to attach lightweight objects to walls, doors or other dry surfaces.

Studio di teschio umano in argilla, realizzato pochi mesi fa. Studiare la figura umana da autodidatta richiede costanza e motivazione veramente forti soprattutto in questo periodo di mia incertezza economica in cui devo cercare di far quadrare tutto il resto. Ma l'aspetto pi frustrante la difficolt estrema di fare rete, incontrare maestri, artisti e colleghi, vivere in un ambiente arido e poco motivante sul piano dell'arte.
