My two most recent works
I guess my subjects don't always match.
Barbara Hepworth didnt just make sculptures. She is famous for drawings, too. Her most famous drawings are of surgeons at work, focusing on their hands, after her daughter was in hospital in 1944. She befriended a surgeon, who allowed her to watch surgeons at work, after which she produced about 80 drawings.

That was a fun trip to California! The raspberry pink is my favorite and these both have it. Xenon is fun, but gosh the brightness of the Hg really fills a room.
Two photos of some bright Argon Mercury doodles I took photos of recently. The raspberrySuperturquoiseLemonDeepvioletTripleCaliforniaMiniBurst I made at my friend Leticia Maldonado's studio in LA. You can only get those s in but it was not pumped till recently.
The raspberryRuby,NovialCandle,AquamarineSunrise,WrapDoodleraspberryRuby,NovialCandle,AquamarineSunrise,WrapDoodle is lovely. I wanna more with the wraps.

Medieval Masons at Work. Easily overlooked, this beautiful little sculpture can be found on Royal Bank Place between Buchanan Street and Royal Exchange Square in central Glasgow. It was commissioned by the Incorporation of Masons of Glasgow in 1998.
Ill Eye, Ill Tongue (2012)
Created in response to the 400-year anniversary of the Lancashire Witch Trials, this piece incorporates ideas of religious syncretism and apotropaic magic, taking influence from witch bottles said to protect a person or place. The written elements are taken from six religious texts. The bottles contain hair, fingernails, bent iron pins and white wine.

I'd like to share some of my previous work here, and this seems like an appropriate way to start. This piece is 'A Lyke Wake Devotional' and was made in 2018, but had first been conceived in 2016 as a response to the death of my partner. I'm sharing today on what would have been his birthday
