The shape of the leaves was set with card (and a central wire) and that covered with epoxy putty.

One of the great heroes of the Victorian age, this statue was originally erected in the city's George Square, but was moved to its current location in the Cathedral Precint in 1959.

John Mossman's 1870s bronze statue of David Livinstone in Glasgow. I like the way it shows (quite literally) two different sides to his life.

From the front you see the Christian missionary, bible in hand, while from behind, you see the scientific investgator, map-maker and explorer, as indicated by binoculars slung over his shoulder, and the sextant, astrolabe, and surveyors chains at his feet.

Another 3 hours sculpting with Paloma and the usual crew. Plus one of our new hires hung out because she knows the organizer, that was pretty cool!
I basically started over. The washer from the hips was sticking out of the pubis, and the leg wires were compressing funny. I had also made the head smaller by folding the loop down.
Augie from dogtown sculpture drew over my redo and I wasnt even mad, even though I didnt invite him to.
I think he saw something I wasnt capturing, but whatever it was, I wasnt seeing it.

The "Space Whale" by Matt Schultz was originally at the 2016 Burning Man event on the Black Rock Playa north of Reno, Nevada. It is a full scale stained glass humpback whale mother and her calf. In this photo it is at its permanent location in the plaza in front of Reno City Hall.
