Two new sculpture installations just unveiled on Sunderland's riverside in North East England and inspired by the city's former shipbuilding industry. Created in corten steel by local sculptor Ray Lonsdale, they are already catching the eye of those passing by.

Souvent on me demande si je fais fondre l'acier pour le modeler. On me demande aussi si j'utilise des moules. La rponse aux 2 questions est non. Je plie le mtal froid (masse et enclume) et je monte mes structures partir d'un mauvais dessin 2D, dans les airs.
J'oublie de prendre des photos mais j'avais document ma Frale.

Tried something a little different today. So much slip and score. I made a template to shape the side pieces and winged it the rest of the way. Much bigger than the inspiration. It will shrink a little.
Maybe this will hold my soldering iron in the future
