Two bronze women sit on a rock outside the National Theatre. Two people stand in front of them reading an inscription on the ground. The sculpture is Frank Dobson's London Pride, originally made from the 1951 Festival of Britain, made from plaster. Le Mmorial aux victimes du communisme, install au pied de la colline de Petn, montre une succession de figures humaines de plus en plus mutiles. Luvre du sculpteur Olbram Zoubek, avec les architectes Zdenk Hlzel et Jan Kerel, a t inaugure en 2002.
Sur le monument sont rappels les chiffres de la rpression en Tchcoslovaquie entre 1948 et 1989 : plus de 205 000 condamnations politiques, 248 excutions et des milliers de morts en prison.
Une sculpture o chaque marche retire un peu plus de lhomme, mais pas compltement sa prsence.

Brass cast little sculpture of a wood cube showing tunnels carved by a woodworm. Of course the tree was already firewood when I found it, I only cut it into a rough cube. And the woodworm was long gone: Wherever you are, I hope you're OK, it was nice making this collab with you.
