Traveling Around Art and Sculpture
Over the past couple of years, Ive collected images of various sculpture and paintings I happened to note and like when traveling around places like Rotterdam, Stockholm, Malm, Copenhagen. On a recent trip, I popped into the Sprengel Museum in Hannover and took pics of some paintings and sculpture that spoke to me. Super excited that the first half of my plan for this is coming to fruition. accepted it to be auctioned. I bent a second, backup copy of the neon before cavity packing both of them in filleted upholstery foam and building a box in a box -yeah, I used to be an handler :)
I particularly enjoyed the moment of writing and arrows pointing to each pattern before slicing them in half with the sharp edge of a broken tube. The Sun pattern will go with the sun- the two will (probably) never be re-united again :) - except by internet blinky signals between the two
Sun half will be to support a non profit school with a lyric from a song that came out the same year as the school's founding- over 50 years ago. Cultural recycling.
Coming in at over $850, UPS was too expensive. NTG freight will *hopefully save me a pile of monies. The box is another big box inside of box.
Hopefully it makes it the journey.

How to make wooden falcon
Once upon a time, my uncle gave me a lot of unused tape from wooden boards. I was able to cut them with knife or scissors and carve them easily, also to smeared with sandpaper. I was looking for the opportunity where I could use my passion for puzzles, sticking things together. When I was finally able to make very delicate fish scales, roof tiles or bird feathers for the first time.How I designed a decorative chess set
My colleague once asked me to create decorated chess models for SLA/DLP 3D printing and a decorated chess board for 3-axis CNC milling with SolidWorks.I love this cheeky little putto clinging to a keystone above the entrance to the former British Linen Bank building at 215 High Street in Glasgow. He always makes me smile whenever I pass him.
When I was between doctors' appointments last week, I spent 15 minutes at , a cemetery in Magdeburg's Neue Neustadt district. I've driven past this cemetery one of 23 in countless times, always wishing I had time to explore. Now, 15 minutes was nowhere near enough, but I did find this lovely . Below the , it reads: "To take time for another person that is where love lies".I have been enjoying the works of Erling Mrch for years. I haven't been able to afford buying any, so gazing enviously whenever I found some of his works on display was it.
This years holiday on Mols as per usual involved a visit to gallery Grevelsgaard. They have a few larger Erling Mrch pieces displayed in the sculpture park and usually a small selection for sale as well.
And I always linger.
I saw it the second I opened the door. It was so new, it hadn't even gotten a pricetag yet. I had been saving every penny for a new used car, but to hell with it. The scooter will have to suffice for a while longer.
