Today has been a good day out. Ended up in Perth and came across The Knife Angel.
This is possibly one of the most powerful, thought provoking sculptures I have seen.
Over 100,000 blades that have been seized have been joined to make this sculpture. Created to highlight the damage done by violent crimes and the sorrow it brings to communities. It is also a memorial to those who have died through knife crime.
I felt really emotional seeing the sculpture and even now, sharing this, its hard not to feel big emotions. That is what this is meant to do, provoke a response, make people think...and it certainly worked with me.
If you are in the area, it is on display throughout December outside Perth Museum.
Some shots from my show at The Helper Mini in Utah. Electric Horses Forever has three horses running, with a few more out of the gallery. You can blink them if your near the gallery by joining the "Pink Pony Club" wifi network, and it's "captive portal" even works on iphones and androids.
The three of them should make a nice pink glow in the gallery day and night, and light up a little piece of the town of Helper.
The horses have made it out west!

Anish Kapoors works have no fixed identity, but rather occupy an illusionary space that is consistent with eastern theologies shared by Buddhism, Hinduism and Taoism, as well as Albert Einstein's views of a non-three-dimensional world.

To commemorate the official re-opening of Notre Dame cathedral yesterday, here is a picture of their statue of Joan of Arc.
The statue was created in 1920, by Charles Desvergnes, to celebrate the canonisation of Joan that same year.

I actually really love this year's take on a Christmas tree at the V&A.
This twisting column design is stylish as hell. On display until the beginning of January.

Despite its reputation for being a bit rainy at times, Scotland has more historic sundials than anywhere else in the world, mostly dating from the 17th and 18th Centuries. There is even a type, known as an obelisk sundial, which is unique to Scotland. Many, like this one, have multiple dials and gnomons (the bit which casts the shadow used to tell the time), and were probably designed more to be decorative than functional.
The magnificent sundial in King's Park in Glasgow. Dating from 1885, it's a replica of one originally made in 1635 and which is located in Newbattle Abbey House in Midlothian.
