SculptureLove this dragon-like creature on a drainpipe on the Gothic style former Hutchesontown Free Church on Dixon Avenue on the Southside of Glasgow. Designed by John Bennie Wilson, it was built in the 1890s.

Fort Scratchley is such an amazing venue for a sculpture exhibition with views out to Nobby's Head and the harbour really setting off the artworks.
Loved the humour of this one. Can you guess what it's called
Quick stop at Fort Scratchley after lunch to have a look at the sculpture exhibits. Didn't have time to see all of them but this was one of my faves. It was very windy up on the hill overlooking the harbour so this sculpture didn't seem too far off. Sculpture is Open Hands artist is Samuel Troyer.

Best thing Ive seen in a while. Of course its in . At the entrance to a hiking trail. The idea is when you return to your car after a hike, you pour any unused water from your water bottles into Rustys mouth and, well, he pees it onto the young tree, to water it.
I love the little details, like the hex nuts as Rustys toes on his paws.
Bravo. And woof!

By filmmaker/sculptor Rajiv Anchal (born 1956), this huge concrete sculpture rests on top of the 1,000-foot Jatayupara towers, Jatayu Earth Centre, Chadayamangalam, Kerala, India.
Jatayu Earth's Centre or Jatayu Rock is a nature park situated 1200 ft above sea level. This attraction was opened to the public on August 17, 2018, and ever since, this has been a great tourist attraction. In fact, the attraction is one of the most visited ones in the state of Kerala. The main attraction of the park is the rock sculpture of Jatayu which is also the worlds largest bird sculpture.
This rock sculpture was sculpted by artist Rajiv Anchal. The bird measures a total of 200 ft in length, 150 ft in width, 70 ft in height and is spread across a total of 15,000 sq ft of floor area. To put it simply, Jatayu sculpture is massive.
As per its creator Rajiv Anchal, Jatayu Rock is a representation of Jatayuthe legend, and symbolises the protection of a womans honour and safety
In case you are wondering, it is not just the rock sculpture that people come here to see. Inside the sculpture is a museum and a 6D theatre!
