This is a great bit of sculpture on the pedament above the main entrance to the former Wylie and Lochhead building on Buchanan Street in Glasgow, including a cartouche with the business's monogram on it. It might seem like this is made from the red sandstone used widely across the city, but like the rest of the facade, it is in fact made from terracotta.

I printed the first test of my Cult of the Lamb's sculpture. It seems pretty nice for a first try. It has a error on the back but I did some boolean on the slicer for print only the needed part. Next step is painting. I dont have any experience painting 3D printed figures so it will be fun. I would like to put the STL publicly somewhere but at the moment I am not sure where. If you have any suggestions let me know.

Started working on a new little MagicaCSG hard-surface modeling project.

One of the great things of working with MagicaCSG is that every element is non-destructive, so I can adjust the shapes, creases, colors et cetera at any time.

Will keep you up to date again in this thread.

OK, I solemnly promise this will be my last Space Cyborg Zombie repost. The more detailed a scene gets, the more risk that my OCD starts bugging me, forcing me to re-light, re-render, re-texture and overall remix the result, until I'm finally sufficiently satisfied.

Hey friends! Did you know that the ancient Egyptians believed that insculpturing a person's name or symbol into their body was a form of immortalization They would often have themselves buried with these scuptures, which were meant to help guide their spirits in the afterlife. Crazy huh

In the exhibition "Beyond Compare. Art from Africa in the -Museum", objects from and art are juxtaposed, among other things under the aspect of "contrast or complement". Curator Julien Chapuis talks about a Memento Mori figure and a from the region.

A New Zealand man whose name is Treedragon is starting another sculpture which he will chronicle on this website:

I don't actually know if random people can look at things on that site, or if you have to be a member. So here are a couple of links to posts I know you can see:

Thank you for this day.

The Trafalgar Square Fourth Plinth is a genius idea to utilise an unused plinth to showcase art.

Outside Te Papa there are 4 small plinths that were also unused for a while and a great idea always wants to spread and take root in different places eh.

Getting some lines done on this big burst project with Alicia Eggert. A second electric You Are Magic. A few days ago I made the layouts and some lists of line lengths in what colors.

This method of making lines is super reminiscent of border tubes that used to line buildings and windows.

I pumped all the purple tubes yesterday and made another color. Now my world is purple :) (except for the flat sun)

I remade this YIPPEE (Cold Cathode Compact Fluorescent) bulb after it sold on Artsy, but then when I told the gallery it had broken backed out of the sale. Hey they bought a different one in the end. Now I have a bulb again.

The phosphor is as evil as they come. Sooooo crackative, and with the chunky, tight font, basically every bend has to be perfect or it will break. Today an last night, I made about 10 of them to get this pumpable one.

There are a few early flowers out already, and someone at the Bellevue Botanical Garden made good use of some that had fallen during a recent snow.

Spring is hopping along, I suppose.
