The other day Yorky bent this 18mm lite green wriggler and it is developing a really nice snake to it! The snaking happens from a small amount of impurities being left behind. Its very difficult to achieve on purpose.
Yorky is learning lots. I only helped him with one weld and the electrodes on this one. Its nice seeing him fix his own mistakes. Working with large diameters of italian glass is not easy, but it sure does look nice!

Turquoise day!
The glow from this plain, basic shade of turquoise is probably my favorite among them. It makes a cool, white. It definitely isn't the richest of turquoises, but I do like the light it emits.
This batch is funny.... I guess you get what you pay for- these ones are imported from Asia and they kept making these weird stains- even after pumping and before adding mercury. Fun watching the stains move around quickly as the tube is pumped.

Who were these two people
The "Sudanese Man" was an actual man Charles Cordier met on his travels to Algeria in 1856. Cordier probably met the "Woman from the French Colonies" when he worked in Paris in 1861. She was from the French colony of Antilles.

Almost ten years ago, I spent two weeks in downtown Montreal in summer while on for training under a previous employer, put up at no less than the Queen Elizabeth Hotel. Of course I took my camera!

Many old buildings in Europe, even churches, have carved on their walls a face made of leaves or vomiting vegetation, called a "Green Man." There's a lot of debate about how this design began or what its purpose was, but many assume it was originally a pagan god.

I am casting a bunch of Mini Lochness Monster sculpts, and I end up using some of my old molds to not waste the resin, which left me with a bunch of colorful casting of Resident Aliens's Harry.

An aquarium in a dark space. A large aquarium, a very large space. You can go around the first one. Slowly, slowly. Inside, black smokers. Extinguished. Perhaps not. Black water, suspended dust and a milky stain. A sort of jellyfish floating around the hydrothermal vents. It's a plastic bag. All around this 3D simulation, the framework of 3D-printed smokers, consolidated by a mixture of iron, copper, zinc and plastic bags.
