Aryan homoeroticism and Lenins head: the museum showcasing Berlins unwanted statues

"Berlin is beginning to reclaim its history, to redefine it. It is doing so with its characteristic intensity and bluntness. After all, what other city would dump many of its statues in a warehouse on the edge of town and expect people to find them"

7/7: Waco Sculpture Zoo, Day 4 afternoon visit

"Spilling the Wind": A majestic American bald eagle oozing power, + a strategically placed US flag. The eagle is installed on a rather high podium making pics 1, 3 especially hard.

Overall, the sculpture zoo is great for both kids and adults. Recommend 10/10. Suggest parking at Pecan Bottoms, walk toward Washington.

6/7: Waco Sculpture Zoo, Day 4 afternoon visit

"Roxy": A fox in a playful pose, scratching itself. Love the chiseled curves, line drawings on the face, and the gold tip on the tail.

"The Kids": These are apparently young orangutans but look like parent and child. (So, the title caused dissonance in my head). I also could not figure out what the focus point is, but I do like the young one on the left.

5/7: Waco Sculpture Zoo, Day 4 afternoon visit

"Trouble": The perfect name for a playful bear cub hanging precariously without a care on a bending tree branch. It was hard to capture the bear itself close up due to the height, gray background, and poor light. But I love the bear's skin texture.

Stalking fox: It's impressive how the artist captures the "stalking" pose.

4/7: Waco Sculpture Zoo, Day 4 afternoon visit

"Wise Elephant": Easily over 8ft tall (2.6m), styled after Rhodin's "The Thinker". Sitting on a bench that is conveniently wide enough with room for 1-2 people to sit beside.

I bet there are a million pictures of people sitting next to this elephant.

Really need multiple pics to show the full detail, especially with the gray background.

3/7: Waco Sculpture Zoo, Day 4 afternoon visit

Single pictures of:
- Ornate Spiny-Tailed Lizard nice mosaic on its back
- American Alligator
- Night Cat a mountain lion
- Giraffe seems ordinary, but makes a great companion for photographs of a person

Was hard to photograph the mountain lion due to its length, low angle, the gray river background, and the weather conditions.

I love this owl nestled beneath a column of oriel windows on a tenement on Shaw Street in the Govan area of Glasgow.

2/7: Waco Sculpture Zoo, Day 4 afternoon visit

- Lioness with Cubs
- Sumatran Tiger parts of this sculpture felt a bit disproportionate

Picture 2: I'm blown away by how well the artist captures both the mom and the cub being lost in each other's love.

Pic 4: I love the detail, esp. the glowing eyes. I recall it took me many tries to get it right with the overcast skies and drizzle.

1/7: , Day 4 afternoon visit.

28 sculptures of native wildlife in an outdoor zoo: 800m (0.5m) stretch of N Univ Park Dr on Brazos, Cameron Park to Washington Ave Br:

Saw only 14 sculptures due to time constraints. Very overcast skies w during the visit. So, picture taking was hard. Sharing 1-2 pics/sculpture:

Most of my work begins from an extremely personal place, says Amir H. Fallah. When I speak on politics or the environment, I start with my own experiences and try to create something that has a broader reach. Its the only way I know to make work that feels sincere.

LOL They're so stupidly ignorant and paranoid that they can't even tell a real Satanic sculpture from a normal piece of Art. (Although if they bothered to read up about what it actually means, I guarantee they'd have a problem with that, too.)

I hope it stays up at U of H forever.
and Hail, Satan.
