The Caledonian Railway Lion on the former Bridge Street Station building in the Laurieston area of Glasgow. It was designed by James Miller and was opened in 1890. It closed in 1905 when it was replaced by the expanded Glasgow Central Station on the other side of the Clyde.

Thank you for this day.
This piece is actually about 4 tall. Whatever youre facing today, keep things in perspective. Things can sometimes appear bigger than they are.

Manually added an Ambient Occlusion / dirt / weathering effect.
This is a screenshot from the real-time viewport, hence the aliasing at edges.
Going to wrap up this project today. The final result will follow.

Roman marble bust found under Burghley parking lot The History Blog
"After being cleaned, experts dated the sculpture from the First or Second Century, with an iron dowel added later, allowing it to be attached to a bust or pedestal."
I am casting a bunch of Mini Lochness Monster sculpts, and I end up using some of my old molds to not waste the resin, which left me with a bunch of colorful casting of Resident Aliens's Harry.

An aquarium in a dark space. A large aquarium, a very large space. You can go around the first one. Slowly, slowly. Inside, black smokers. Extinguished. Perhaps not. Black water, suspended dust and a milky stain. A sort of jellyfish floating around the hydrothermal vents. It's a plastic bag. All around this 3D simulation, the framework of 3D-printed smokers, consolidated by a mixture of iron, copper, zinc and plastic bags.

MagicaCSG drone bot material and lighting test.
No colors added yet, to focus on the material and light properties first.
I'll post the final result tomorrow. See other posts in this thread for more work-in-progress impressions.

MagicaCSG drone bot modeling progress.
I think I'll leave it at this for the drone. I'm considering adding a sci-fi tunnel / corridor.
Apart from the eye, I'll add colors once the modeling is done.
More updates will follow.
On today's example of me playing around and not doing the work I probably "should" be doing-
I am trying out a 3D Eclipse Sun. Sort of like the Flat Sun- just not flat. Currently using scraps, but super curious if it will work. Spiraley Spheres of light might be fun to make :)
I should probably get back to making straight tubes... Or packing works... Or bending other paid things, or writing ad copy for myself :

Discussion of the work of Belgian artist Berlinde De Bruyckere. I recently saw Arcangelo 1(), which is made out of cast wax and animal hides.
The beautiful World Egg hidden inside the mouth of Bella the Beithir, a sculpture by Nichol Wheatley at the Stockingfield Junction on the Forth and Clyde Canal in Glasgow. The Beithir is a lightening serpent most commmonly seen on summer evenings during thunderstorms. The world egg is carried inside her mouth is a symbol of hope. You have to get right up close and peer between Bella's teeth to be able to see it.

Drone bot progress.
I made the eye for a previous MagicaCSG scene, that's why it's already colored.
More updates will follow tomorrow.
If you like what I make, including the frequent work-in-progress updates, a small donation via my Ko-fi will be much appreciated:
This is a great bit of sculpture on the pedament above the main entrance to the former Wylie and Lochhead building on Buchanan Street in Glasgow, including a cartouche with the business's monogram on it. It might seem like this is made from the red sandstone used widely across the city, but like the rest of the facade, it is in fact made from terracotta.

I printed the first test of my Cult of the Lamb's sculpture. It seems pretty nice for a first try. It has a error on the back but I did some boolean on the slicer for print only the needed part. Next step is painting. I dont have any experience painting 3D printed figures so it will be fun. I would like to put the STL publicly somewhere but at the moment I am not sure where. If you have any suggestions let me know.
Started working on a new little MagicaCSG hard-surface modeling project.
One of the great things of working with MagicaCSG is that every element is non-destructive, so I can adjust the shapes, creases, colors et cetera at any time.
Will keep you up to date again in this thread.

OK, I solemnly promise this will be my last Space Cyborg Zombie repost. The more detailed a scene gets, the more risk that my OCD starts bugging me, forcing me to re-light, re-render, re-texture and overall remix the result, until I'm finally sufficiently satisfied.D'adorables personnages en onigiri
