The Ana Mendieta exhibition at the

The Ana Mendieta exhibition at the Tate Modern (London) is fabulous. Somehow I hadnt expected it to be.

I went because I was already at the Tate and left feeling filled with light. Thats a badly needed feeling the way things are in the world right now.

Ana Mendieta was a Cuban-American artist. She died in 1985.

Ive finally managed to turn an idea thats been close to my heart for a long time into reality: a coat hook featuring a fox bust design. Years ago I bought plain coat hooks specifically for this purpose.
The whole thing is solid and really sturdy. Attached to the wall with a screw, it can hold even heavy clothes.

Hmm, it almost looks like the fox is enjoying watching you get undressed >)

If I don't forget I will bring him to EF!

The mausoleum was built in 1854 for the ironmonger and merchant John Houldsworth of Cranstonhill. Houldsworth was the last provost of the burgh of Anderston before it was incorporated into the neighbouring City of Glasgow in 1846. As well as the Mausoleum, Houldsworth is remembered with a street and a small park in Anderston, although the latter is more commonly referred to as the Train Park, due to its train-shaped play equipment.

A statue of Faith by John Thomas in the Houldsworth Family Mausoleum in the Necropolis in Glasgow. Thomas also designed the mausoleum itself, and I really like the way the various openings create an ever-changing a play of light and shadow on the statue itself.

I think it's a mix of the three lyres (held like guitars), and the way they're all tilting their heads and looking at each other.

I love this relief sculpture over the entrance to Leiper's 1872 French Gothic style church overlooking Queen's Park in Glasgow. It was designed by J. Mossman, and is titled Angel With Lyre. However, there's something about it that always makes me think of the early 1960s version of the Beatles, and more specifically their 1964 appearance the Ed Sullivan show in the US when they sang I Wanna Hold Your Hand.

Ana Mendieta review were she still alive shed be at the forefront of art in this century

Tate Modern, LondonThis exhibition makes nothing of the Cuban-American artists controversial death instead it focuses on the astounding way she left an imprint of herself on the earth using blood, feathers and gunpowder

Posting of jigs (), I fabricated this foam support system with some adherence, to aid in accurately drilling and threading some holes from the back side of the wooden frame into this bronze foot sculpture, add brackets, straps, hanger(s), safety backup systems, pulleys, gears, flux capacitors, and what not, because I plan on hanging this cast on the wall, and I would like it not fall and kill or hurt somebody.
I will let you know if it works.
