Saint George and the Dragon. Carved by J and G Mossman in 1897, it originally topped the Saint George's Cooperative Society building. When this was demolished in 1985, the statue was retained and donated to the people of Glasgow. It's been in it's current position at Saint George's Cross since 1988.

My latest Artrocity Studio creation: a rooster (with moose antlers, of course).
I have no idea where I'm going to put it.

The piece belongs to a line of balanced sculptures called The Companions.
It has its own little stand to stand on. It is balanced so it stands on it's leg and requires no additional support. Infact it is not attached to the stand and can just as easily stand on your hand if picked up.
