Salut,

Salut,

Ce matin c'est au tour de Nathalie Blier de prendre mon plancher.

Nathalie sculpte l'argile et fait ensuite couler ses sculptures en bronze. Admirez ses beauts !

Bonne journe toutes et tous!

These stone statues are part of the installation Weeping Girls by Laura Ford, at Jupiter Artland. I got really lucky with the light in the first one.
These pics were taken some years ago, I *think* the statues are still there.

Heute eine Dose aus marmoriertem Ton, deren Form ich sehr mag.

A little 3D modeling progress

It's going to be a blind Godzilla.

Still blocking out the basic shapes in MoI 3D. Once that's ready, I'll export it to Nomad Sculpt for further shaping and detailing.

Work will continue tomorrow

Started a new little 3D modeling project.

Revisiting an old workflow of mine, in which I set up the initial elements using the NURBS-based MoI 3D editor.

To get an inspired result, creating needs to feel like playing, and MoI has got one of the most elegant, user-friendly UIs / UXs I know.

More updates will follow

Somewhat surprisingly, despite being a strongly Christian society, most architectural sculptures in Victorian Glasgow were instead inspired by other cultures, such as ancient Greek, Roman, Egyptian, Persian, and even northern European pagan mythologies. The exact reasons for this are unclear.

The Parable of the Wise and Foolish Virgins on the 1890s Standard Buildings on Gordon Street in central Glasgow. Attributed by James Young, this is one of the few achitectural sculptures with an overtly biblical inspiration in the city's Victorian financial district.

Following the Seamour Sheep Radioactive Edition, I rendered concepts for more gadgets, including a Devil Edition. But in the late 2000s, I was swamped in freelance work, and I couldn't find the time anymore to continue the Seamour Sheep project, including the comic series. There was an early prototype of the devil sheep though

in London, at near King's Cross, photographed in January 2016. Hungarian design studio created this in collaboration with visual artist group Creatmosphere. The 11-metre , titled "Let it snow", aimed to highlight the impact of climate change. After the exhibition, some of the 365 used were donated to schools. Similar installations were built in Budapest and Manchester, with materials later donated or repurposed into objects like benches.

More photos from the garden at night. A couple years ago I spent a lot of time and money in low voltage lighting. Totally changes how I see this space now. Shapes and colors you just don't see in the daytime.

This evening's practically full moon is the perfect time to hang out in the garden with my sculptures. Such a perfect night. The rain will set in soon and I'll have to cover these all up for the winter.
