Now I know what they do with old trains
The Louvre has been in the news a bit lately, but here's an exhibit that hasn't been stolen recently.
This is the Winged Victory of Samothrace, or Nike, which was created in about 200 BCE, and discovered in 1863. It has been on display, on the main staircase at the Louvre, since 1884.

Soft fur, smooth curves, and an alert, loving look, all cast in bronze, give off a feeling of strength mixed with warmth and friendliness.

There are Modern Art in near Vistula river I discovered earlier this year. They are described as Knights but I am not sure if these characters are even human beings :blobcatjoy:
Kind of "what the hell artist tried to show!" artifacts. It looked nicely surreal.

The oft-vandalised statue was originally presented to Argentina by Fascist Italy in 1910, and installed in 1921. The figures of Romulus and Remus were stolen in 2007 and replaced with replicas.
