Well, that was a lot of text. Apparently I had nothing more to say. These are little glowing slimemolds on a rather large piece of bark. The lights are not connected yet, so I could not show their glow. I never finished this one! Don't even know why. It probably ended up in my unfinished projects bucket in the attic. I think I will revisit it and finish it soon, because I still like the idea a lot.

La Force Morale.

This is my Amanita muscaria light - a silicone mushroom in a round glass dome. I have made it again later, but with a different glass dome and on a simple wooden base.
Might have to make it like this again, I like the round glass. But those are hard to find! This one was a vintage thriftstore find.

This is from 4 August 2017:
I'm working on a website and a final name for these lights, so if you have an idea I'd love to hear it! Meanwhile I'm testing the light. It's quite elegant and simple! The lights are nearly done now, they just need to mounted. After that they will be for sale, on etsy perhaps.
I was not done figuring out my project's name. Not sure what name I used before it became Levend Lichtje - maybe my own
You can really see how much I struggled with taking good pictures of the light. I still do, but a little less! It's pretty hard to capture if you only have a mobile phone.

The Granville Street entrance to the Mitchell Library in Glasgow is flank by these two strapping lads. They're survivors from the Saint Andrew's Halls, which once occupied this site. The halls, which dated from the 1870s, were badly damaged in a fire in 1962, and only this facade, with its magnificent statues by John and William Mossman, could be saved. It was later incorporated into an extension to the neighbouring Mitchell Library.
