My first ceramic ever! Finally assembled after 1 year sitting in storage.
As per usual with me, the commercial I do and the artistic neon things I make for myself feed into each other. Here is an example of this.
The former owner of Let There Be Neon, Jeff was really into neon clocks. After making my first tube delivery, I was tickled when Jeff trusted me to fix one of the old tubes in his clock collection. (new electrodes and refill with neon). I remade a few other tubes for customer clocks for them too over the course of the month.
We have had this blank clock for neon sitting around the neon shop that I usually work out of for a few years now. They said I could add to it if I wanted, but the list of things to make is usually so long- I never got around to it- till now :)
We had a little shop BBQ party planned on Friday (yesterday) so I made that my deadline (Wednesday morning). I wanted to show off some of the cool things I can do (there is almost no lit neon in the shop for clients to see)
