I just keep going back. No one visits, apparently, at least in winter, and the attendant has been flummoxed, even grown suspicious, by my daily returns. But yesterday she said my interest was unusual and showed me several frescoed rooms not normally open to the public. I suppose obsession occasionally has benefits.

Voici Royale. Comme les fleurs, je veux reproduire tous les oiseaux.
J'ai peint les yeux seulement pour les faire ressortir. Je l'avais peinte au complet et c'tait assez troublant. J'aime mieux mes pices avec le mtal nu. C'est ce que je prfre. Je mettrai une photo en commentaire delle peinte.

Looking at the state of the world rnA harpy carved on the corner of the 1897 Mercantile Chambers on Bothwell Street in central Glasgow. In Greek mythology, these half-human, half-bird creatures were believed to be spirits of the storm winds and ministers of thunder for Zeus. Why there is one on this Glasgow building, I don't know, but its one of many wierd, but wonderful sculptures on it.

Ce matin je vous amne dans les coulisse d'un lilas. Je vous l'ai dj dit, un de mes buts est de reproduire le plus grands nombres de fleurs possibles. Cette fleur de lilas est compose de 37 petites fleurs, chacune compose de 4 rondelles plies en deux montes sur un clou. Elle fait partie de mon tout premier bouquet improbable.

I love the slightly random nature of some of the architectural sculptures on Glasgow's older buildings. In this case, three putti operating a printing press with a lion's head above them. This is on a 1850s banking building on Gordon Street, so presumably they're printing bank notes.
