In Ukraine, a team of great might,
Rescues art from the chaos and fight.
Amidst war's relentless barrage,
They bravely dodge the barrage,
Preserving culture day and night.

A short impression video of my skull bomb icon MagicaCSG scene.

I've made use of MagicaCSG's Avoid blend mode to embed the skull into the bomb. The skull is a grouped Boolean, to avoid each skull component being blended separately into the bomb.

I love this bat under one of the magnificent oriel windows of the former Glasgow Institite for the Deaf and Dumb on Prospccthill Road. Designed by Salmon, Son and Ritchie, and designed in a stunning French Gothic style, it was built in 1867.

Historic village wants 'mini Stonehenge' to honour the region's mining history
By Keely Johnson

Locals at Catherine Hill Bay have salvaged parts of a century-old timber mining jetty. Now they want to see it used in a Stonehenge-like sculpture for the town.

I especially loved the totally adorable little girl blowing a bubble Banksy style, and death on a carousel horse, wearing fabulous knee high boots.

Installation by JR Artist

Story: "Eight years ago, I was invited by the Rio Olympics to be artist in residence. it allowed me for the first time to build a project using scaffolding at the scale of the city. We installed the image of three athletes in movement at a monumental scale in different parts of Rio. Actually, the athletes were not part of the selection because they were injured or because their performances were not good enough. The idea was to insist on the beauty of the gesture, not on the medals. We also took part in the opening ceremony with an inside Photo Booth truck printing of portraits of athletes from all over the world.
Today the Olympics open in my city of Paris, and I was very honored to bear the torch two weeks ago at the Louvre where I have so many incredible memories.
Lets see these Olympics as a celebration of universality, as a place where all athletes have the same objectives, the same vision, the same dreams."

Looking at Alexander Calder's "Eagle" in the Olympic Sculpture Park on the Seattle waterfront. It is repainted quite frequently because sunlight, marine air, rain etc. are so harsh on it. Then it looks splendid for a month or so and not so long afterwards it will need to be painted again. And so on. Note the perfect crow placement on one of the beams.

Saint George and the Dragon on the Lord Roberts Monument in Kelvingrove Park in Glasgow. Erected in 1916, it's a copy of an original monument in Calcutta by Harry Bates. The model of Saint George and the Dragon was stolen from the Kelvingrove monument in the 1970s, so it's unclear if this is a replica or if the original was returned and replaced.
