Pour la priode estivale, jai repris mes chaussures de sculpteur et jai ralis cet t plusieurs sculptures de petit format avec du bois flottant que jai sculpt pour faire rejaillir des formes caches ou accentuer et adoucir des lignes naturelles.
Encore quelques semaines et je vais reprendre mes souliers de peintre.

Allegorical figures by Benno Schotz on the 1929 Modern Classical former Bank of Scotland building on the corner of Sauchiehall Street and Blythswood Street in Glasgow. Despite being born in Estonia, when it was still part of the pre-evolutionary Russian Empire, most of Schotz work can be found in or around Glasgow, and he made a number of important contributions to his adoptive home's interwar streetscape, including sculptures on this building.

Getting out of the NYC to teach two short neon classes at VAR gallery in Milwaukee has been just the breather I have needed. Gosh the midwest is a nice refresher!
All the work has been fun- I am again filling in at the famous Let There Be Neon shop (now in Sunset park) and they have been giving me a bunch of fun things to bend in neat colors, fonts and designs I wouldn't normally use. There are numerous projects for artists and companies an things going on too. It sure is nice to be busy. One day I will have time again for my own projects :)

Views of the brilliant gilded pavilion and the decorated altar at the end of the Adamaaru main service. The last pic is of the "uthsawa moorthi", the idol used away from the altar.
Humbly: Such clear, closeup pics of the ritual and the idols are quite rare.

Wednesday: Superb day trip to Mysuru to participate in "chaaturmaasa" observance by Kaniyooru Swamiji and junior Adamaaru Swamiji.
Adamaaru service pics: As in other mathas, the altar starts simple and progressively enriches. Last pic (not mine) is of the main idol "the 4-armed Krishna subduing the Kaalinga serpent".

Week 32 of the projectI'm happy to report that the errant penguin I spotted yesterday has successfully made its way back home, with only minor injuries, to the new(ish) arts venue at 522 Sauchiehall Street.

Quand je fais un tre vivant, je ne suis pas comme a, vouloir la perfection, chercher l'absolu. Je laisse la bte exprimer sa posture. J'ai une intention trs prcise quand je cre mais ma sculpture merge sa guise aussi.
