The statue is called 'Sleeping Boy Buddha'. I love the little mouse at his feet, and the smile on his face.
There is probably a whole layer of symbolism in this statue which I can't interpret, if anyone can add ideas I'd love to hear them.
I try to visit this garden whenever I'm in Sydney, it's very tranquil.

SculptureAfter negotiating the twists and turns and sometimes bumpy Vashon roads, we found the Troll: "Oscar the Bird King" He's out there on the very eastern tip of Maury Island, Point Robinson. There's also a cool lighthouse on the point.

These sculptures on the Highland Fusilers Museum on Sauchiehall Street in Glasgow are the work of McGilvray and Ferris, and represent the Delphic Sybil (left) and the Prophet Isaiah (Right). While the building itself was designed by John Keppie, the facade, including these statues, may have been designed by his colleague Charles Rennie MacKintosh.

La finitude des temps modernes. Photographie prise lors dune rtrospective de luvre du peintre et sculpteur tchque Kurt Gebauer la Galerie nationale de Prague, en 2020-2021. Le travail de Kurt Gebauer drangeait du temps du rgime stalinien de la Tchcoslovaquie, et semble dranger encore aujourdhui la scne artistique locale... mais visiblement pas cette jeune fille qui passe les yeux rivs sur son tlphone mobile avec cette conscience tchque typique de sa propre finitude, o le nant reste toujours porte de main (Michal Novotn dans ).
