Lucie, en hommage ma Grande Tante qui faisait des poupes en coquillages dans les annes 60.
Sculpture by LA-based Canadian artist David Altmejd, 2010s-20s, whose practice "explores the constitution and disintegration of the self" through a range of materials. The artist says, "A perfect object for me is something that is extremely seductive and extremely repulsive at the same time."
Sculpture is the one fine art I feel like I dont get at all and I wish I didnt feel dumb when confronted with it.
What do you make me think and feel, object! Reveal your truth to me!!!

The Russel Head, a fearsome gargoyle transplanted from an 18th century Aberdeen city centre shop to Provost Skenes House. It was originally a visual permanent rebuke by a shop owner to a neighbour hed fallen out with.
I love the expressiveness of this face on one of the early 1900s Garden Pavilions at Pollok House in Glasgow.
Back then, people sent me photos of themselves with my Steve Jobs bust.

Sold these for a while in my former Shapeways 3D print shop. The Steve Jobs bust gained some online publicity, so I received a letter from Apple's lawyers to remove him from my shop.

Love this decorative and very detailed sculpture by John Mossman on the Virginia Place facade of the former Union Bank of Scotland on Ingram Street in Glasgow.
The Titans of Argyle Street. Standing, heads bowed and arms crossed, this pair of Atlantes have been stoically holding up the building at 146 Argyle Street in Glasgow since 1903. Whether seen from a passing bus, sheltering under them from the rain, or just wondering if they ever move when no one is looking, these massive men have been a key feature of childhood for many in Glasgow for more than a century.
