Une oeuvre de Jean-Michel Folon que j'ai dcouverte hier et qui a t cre en 1997 la suite des tragiques vnements de l'affaire Dutroux.

I discovered yesterday that work of Jean-Michel Folon that was created in 1997 after the tragic events of the Dutroux Affair.
Sculpture Un cheval fait de touches de clavier par Babis Panagiotidis.
Ici, pas de galop : plutt une prsence calme, massive, presque mditative.
Des touches dordinateur transformes en sculpture animale, avec ce contraste assez beau entre la froideur du clavier et la noblesse du cheval.
Une uvre qui montre quon peut faire natre une vraie silhouette, presque intemporelle, partir dobjets vous au rebut.

Monolith consists of four separate pieces. A concrete base that holds two ceramic G9-led bulb fixtures, a heavy concrete shade and two black shiny repurposed nylon brackets.
The concrete light base stands on four wide slanted feet. With the G9 light fixtures wired separately by translucent wire leading to one black cord switch wire and plug.

Je passe dans le parc du muse rgulirement mais l'oeuvre est difficile maintenir en tat l'extrieur.
Pendant les travaux au LAM, l'oeuvre de Calder a aussi profit d'une remise en tat
On peut voir aussi l'entre du Parc "Guillotine pour huit" que j'apprcie moins
Je n'aime pas tant partager mon travail en plan d'habitude mais on m'en parle tout le temps dans les symposiums. Pour celle-ci le progrs est moins btard que d'autres. Souvent c'est trs long avant que a prenne forme.
Les photos ont t prises la fin de chaque journe de travail. On voit donc ce que j'arrive faire dans les 3, 4 ou 5 heures o je suis l'atelier. Je n'arrive pas faire plus, on gle encore !!

It is one of seven Glasgow Milestones across the city commissioned to mark Glasgow's nomination as European City of Culture in 1990. For some reason, this one always reminds me of Rank Bajin, the arch enemy of Loby Dosser.
The Dennistoun Milestone on Duke Street in Glasgow. Created in 1991 by Jim Buckley, it has an interior space containing a number of local artefacts, including a clay pipe found at Whitehill School, a bottle of water from the Molendinar, a text about life in a Glasgow tenement and a tobacco knife from the nearby Wills Tobacco Factory.
