I've finished the reassembly of this sculpture that broke. Might need to paint the epoxy and blend it all together. Will see what Peter has to say about it.

I like both renderings, but I prefer this version.
This in the Math and Sciences Center at Emory University, in Atlanta, Georgia is entitled "1440 Cans," by Benjamin Gadbaw. It is a and a sculpture. 20 aluminum cans across and 72 down it seems. Created for a recycled art show in 2007. We discovered it while exploring the campus. Pretty cool.
Have a good day.
Description of the from the artist's website:
An allegorical representation of Canada on the 1888 Doulton Fountain on Glasgow Green. Originally modelled by Willian Silver Frith, it was restored, along with the rest of the fountain, in 2002. This was no easy task as by then, the head and torso of both figures were missing, as were the beaver on the right, the axe being held by the female figure and the moose's antlers.

Good Morning
I think most Canadians know what an is, but this post is intended to give you a greater understanding of these iconic piles of rock. An inuksuk, or inukshuk (plural inuksuit) is a type of stone landmark or cairn built and used by Inuit, including Iupiat, Kalaallit, Yupik, and other peoples of the North American Arctic. These structures are found in northern Canada, north of the Arctic Circle, which is dominated by the tundra biome and has areas with few natural landmarks. These structures, often resembling human figures, serve various purposes, primarily as navigational aids and markers, but also as symbols of the Arctic landscape and Inuit culture.

"The Sleeping Children" by Sir Francis Chantrey, forever asleep on a tomb in Lichfield Cathedral: the story is a sad one, because the mother, only recently widowed, lost the girls one after another. Life was so precarious in the 19c.

Todays theme reminded me I had taken photos of Alex Da Cortes sculpture As Long as the Sun Lasts, which was exhibited on the rooftop of the Met Museum in 2021, at the height of the pandemic. A life-size blue Big Bird sits on a crescent moon in a rotating mobile, gazing out at the city. What is he thinking about What does he make you think about
