The Kennedy Monument in Kelvingrove Park. Sculpted by A. Cain in 1866, it was presented by the City of Glasgow in 1867 by John S. Kennedy, a Glaswegian who had emigrated to the US and made his fortune there. The statue shows a female big cat holding a peacock which she is bringing back to her cubs, and it was the first statue erected in Kelvingrove Park. There's another copy of this statue in Central Park in New York, Kennedy's adopted home.
Getting there...
After a rather turbulent night (not kidding, one person kept hugging the toilet), I woke up to a very pretty sunrise in the desert.
We had to get up at 6, because the prepared coaches to different destinations in .
My choice was the Living Desert exhibition.
The nature around us looked a bit what I would expect terraformed Mars to be like.
As we had no breakfast yet, they provided some nibbles and tea. Much appreciated, as it was FRIGID

Today's theme for is historical so I thought it was an opportunity to post a photo of this excellent pikeman at Helmsley Castle in Yorkshire.
I was very taken with it.
Haven't mentioned it in a while, but Textile Talks continues to offer free zoom lectures at 2pm Eastern every Wednesday. Today: MiKyoung Lee: Threading Memories and Weaving Connections.

Polymer clay sculpture snails.
Some progress on this guy. I've been making polymer paintings for so long, it's a bit tricky trying to remember how to make actual models :ablobdizzy:

One of the few things I like about Uptown Centre, few minutes from our home, are these pretty art faces embedded into the exteriors of the buildings. Uptown is a shopping hub & I'm anti-consumerism so only go there for medical appointments or go to pharmacy there.
The bear.took a while to get here - but eventually bent stable diffusion to my will.

I'm further exploring the Clavicula SDF 3D editor, and I'm getting more enthusiastic as I start to learn the workflow.
The available SDF Boolean operations are pretty cool.
Clavicula is free, and available for Windows, macOS and VR. If you like it, a donation will support the indie dev.
I find out that I really like sculpting!
There is no doubt that this will help me on my game development skills.

I pumped this lil'Purple3500RaspberryOrangeCandleWipedStripedXenonZoodle the other day with xenon. It needs to be held by a human (grounded) to strike on. Its been getting easier to light on the calm transformer as I leave it running on the lightning ones (seen towards the end of the video).
I wasn't sure this one would fill nicely with the resistive and small tubing. So happy its cleaning up nicely an hey, not too bright!
