The VE 301 a plus austere ansible for a pluswise focused time.
A few notes, this beautiful bakelite body was most probably post WWII Germany. I got it well cracked. Bakelite is, on a good day, difficult to repair. To guarantee a solid piece a built and fitted in a tight plywood box and bonded the bakelite to that. The round face you see here, was the speaker grill area. I put a small speaker on each side. The screen was an old laptop salvage with a new driver board. And I used a fresnel lens in front of that. The plywood gave me a solid structure for all the internal components. Not pictured here is the back panel that I cut out of masonite.
While this is a still photo, I did use the video the piece had on it when sold. I had no video shots of it playing. The new owner could easily swap out a new usb stick with other vid on it.

Nous quittons lhtel avec nos valises 9h30, aprs avoir largement eu le temps de dormir. Avec le dcalage horaire, les rveils sont toujours faciles. Je djeune de nouilles chinoises sautes aux lgumes, dun morceau de poulet (trop) frit, dun uf sunny side up comme on dit en anglais au serveur, dune tranche de pain et dune banane. Le tout arros de deux cafs et de deux verres de jus : citron et pomme.
Nous nous arrtons la montagne de marbre , un complexe de caves creuses dans la falaise et qui sert aujourdhui la sculpture de statues civiles ou religieuses, asiatiques ou occidentales, que nous pouvons admirer dans les entrepts. Il y a mme un David florentin, mais il a les hanches paisses et les muscles lourds. Les sculpteurs ne savent pas affiner la statuaire comme les Grecs et les Romains. Ils sculptent mme des fauteuils et des canaps en marbre. Envoi spar garanti il ne doit pas tre donn, au vu du poids.

Cest cet endroit quont dbarqu des troupes franaises en aot 1858 quand Napolon III a dcid dintervenir en Annam. Nous pouvons encore voir le fort, la tour Anne, ancien bastion portugais. Le nom de Da Nang signifie district dactivit commerciale . Le port a t une grande base amricaine, navale et arienne durant la guerre du Vietnam, pour les B 52 qui partaient bombarder le Nord. Cest une ville frontire, mais le Vit-cong est pass ct pour sinfiltrer au sud. Les enseignes regorgent de logos avec le mot Viet : la Vietbank, le VietPT le Vietjet, les Vietkids, le Viettel, le Vietpetroleum tout est viet.
Profusion de plats au restaurant Nha Hang Com Niu Truc Lm Vin dans le quartier de Hai Chau. Nous djeunons dans un jardin fleuri aux vieux bonsas. la soupe aux crevettes succde un poisson queue jaune frit, gros comme une carpe, une salade de lgumes piments, du liseron deau, du calmar vapeur (peu ont aim), des crevettes frites, des palourdes marinires, du riz toujours servi en dernier au cas o lon aurait encore faim et comme fruits de la pastque et une sorte de goyave verte la consistance de poire pas mre. Du th au caramel est servi volont. Sur la rue, un panneau indique un menu pour quatre avec cinq plats pour un forfait Nouvel an lunaire de 495 000 dongs, soit environ 22 $.

I love this little sculpted owl above the entrance to the abandoned 1849 Shandon House near Helensburgh. Like the rest of the house, he's clearly seen better days, but you can still see the craftsmenship needed to make him.

Hier j'ai rapatri ma Mtamorphose Trash d'une galerie d'art. J'ai besoin de tout mon inventaire pour terminer mes symposiums cette anne et prparer mon exposition de juillet prochain.
Maintenant que j'ai trouv ma peinture qui ne fait pas ternir, je vais lui mettre un clear pour qu'il aille dehors ! Il est un peu gros pour l'intrieur

Au cimetire de Melaten, Cologne, la Mort ne se contente pas dattendre : elle surveille les visiteurs, faux en main et sablier lev.
Ce Sensenmann en grs a t sculpt par August Schmiemann en 1905 pour la tombe du ngociant Johann Mllemeister. Une reprsentation sombre, thtrale et devenue lun des monuments les plus clbres du cimetire.
Le sablier rappelle que le temps passe. La faux vite manifestement toute ambigut.
