Here is the first casting of my Nessie sculpt, going to try a few more colors and then get some better pics.

So this tunnel in the looks like the reason why companies warn of video-games, pleading for a rest after 15 minutes of playing! Anyway, a weird view to get away from it all once you are focused on the flashing colors !

I remade this YIPPEE (Cold Cathode Compact Fluorescent) bulb after it sold on Artsy, but then when I told the gallery it had broken backed out of the sale. Hey they bought a different one in the end. Now I have a bulb again.

The phosphor is as evil as they come. Sooooo crackative, and with the chunky, tight font, basically every bend has to be perfect or it will break. Today an last night, I made about 10 of them to get this pumpable one.

There are a few early flowers out already, and someone at the Bellevue Botanical Garden made good use of some that had fallen during a recent snow.

Spring is hopping along, I suppose.

Making some Mini Cryptids, the first one is a Lochness Monster "Nessie". This is a wip, once I make the mold and cast it, I will share more pics.

This was supposed to be a master sculpt so I could cast him and make more. Need to find him, sand him down a bit more and just paint him. Don't think I'll be able to cast any more.

An observation for International Women's Day: There are more sculptures of mermaids on Glasgow buildings than there are statues of real Scottish Women in the city. There are also more statues of elephants, beehives, cherubs operating printing presses and Ellen Douglas, the fictitious heroine Walter Scott's poem The Lady of the Lake.

A major retrospective carves space for Marisols most prescient and under-recognized works.

Thank you for this day.

This sculpture in the lobby of the Inland Steel Building always reminds me of HAL.

Working with putty.

Space Cyborg Zombie sculpture update

Added a hose to the suit and started detailing the helmet.

I'm hesitating whether to render this in MagicaCSG when the scene is done, or export it to Blender, so I could add some textures.

See other posts in this thread for more WIP impressions.

Love this rather grumpy looking fish above the entrance to the former Northern Assurance Building on Saint Vincent Street in Glasgow.

Now this is a lush vision to give a gaze at as the spring season is fast approaching: "The Bathing Pool" by Hubert Robert. Those atmospheric blue tones, the richness of the water, and the oh-so-classical and open concept of the architecture make it downright dreamy.

Torn between names of the previous thing I just posted- and wanting the feedback of the interwebs

I do plan on making more of these- I wanna get em perfect! Perhaps in some colors they are waffles and in others they are suns.

YAAAY! I finally made one-

the "flat sun"- or as calls it "Neon Waffle"

Yes, its pretty sloppy- I really want a perfect one, but the color gradient is really nice and the coated cobalt blue is even neater than I expected.

I am super excited! I want to make a 3D, spherical version. I like how one side is "eclipsed".

Its so dense and bright. Kind of unmountable :)

Here is a Relief Sculpture I did of Haku from Studio Ghibli's Spirited Away. I did this sculpt for a small Studio Ghibli themed gallery a few years back. This is the second piece from this gallery I have posted here.

Ooof this is tough. Just. Make. Every. Weld. Perfect!

These colors can be more difficult to work with (crackative) and they are more expensive (fancy)

I should have gotten more coffee yesterday.... I ran out today. I shall blame that :)
I better get back to the computer errands I gotta do.

Here is two Tiki Ornaments I sculpted. The Moia looking one is sculpted after a Tiki Ihave that use to be a prop on The TV show The Monkees. I will be selling the Tiki Ornaments on my shop that I am putting together.

This is a mashup I sculpted of Nightmare Before Christmas's Sally & Hocus Pocus's Winifred = Sallifred. Sculpted, made a mold and casted in Resin. -pocus

This is a giant sequoia sculpture that was sculpted for an event in San Francisco by Dreamforce. I was one of the sculptors on this. We had a week and a half to get this together.
