In case you're tired of my chitchat over here, but you do like my artwork just enough to keep following me, there's a solution

I've got a separate account at Pixelfed, where I only post my artwork:

I said I was going to get this sculpture done before the new year, and dang is it close.

The main character for my game has some minor sculpting adjustments to be made, then it is on to retopology where I'll also add nails and the inner mouth.

When I first heared "The Burghers of Calais" I was thinking French Food Truck, but instead it was the awesome work of Auguste Rodin, You can feel their despair Stanford Campus, Palo Alto, California

I think my bullshi bull sculpting is just about done now.

In the end, sculpting the stone pedestal took more time than creating the bull.

What's left is deciding if I'll add some detail in the eyes. I will at least try it, so I'll know what looks better.

Fourth image from , continuing highlight-weighted metering. Still impressed by the lack of blown-out sky in the gaps of the tree cover, which I woud normally expect with "normal" metering, like Matrix.

Also, when the cast glasses frames break off your , you do not solve that by AFFIXING A PAIR OF PLASTIC FRAMES INTO THE SCULPTURE'S HEAD WITH A BRASS SCREW.

Enchanted

Last night we went to at to ice skate and see the lights. It was a pretty good switch up from seeing the at the zoo, which we did last year, and even with the roof retracted felt mostly outdoors.

We took the bus plus light rail down, but I forgot how far Stadium station is from the home plate entrance (they didnt have any of the other gates open).

First up we had a timed entry to the skate trail. I dont think Ive been ice skating in probably about 15 years, likely taking my to the . My inner Minnesotan came back and I didnt fall once! It was Ts first time (hes rollerbladed a fair bit in gym class) so he had a few wipeouts as he got the hang of it. One of the challenges that made for a few falls was how busy it was (and how many adults who should know better werent yielding to novice skaters).

After the skating closed for the Zamboni, we entered the light maze. There was a sorta scavenger hunt to find the star gears that power Santas timepiece or something. I think we managed to explore all the corners and sculptures!

We of course had to take pictures with various lights. We didnt wait in line for some of the structures though.

Since we were pretty tired and didnt really want to wait for a bus transfer downtown we just Lyfted back home. It was fun but I dont think wed go again in a future year. Maybe well get some more skating in at the someday soon

I think the weirdest vibe was that for a nominally family event and time there was a ton of overpriced booze available in these novelty light bulb containers. I think the drinking is part of what contributed to the crowd jostling I guess the admission tickets werent enough of a margin

Something else that amused me was they had various Christmas music piped in on the loudspeakers, but since the stadium seating was completely empty it echoed strangely. It was like spooky environmental music from an old radio in a post-apocalyptic video game.

If it (or something similar) comes to your city it could be fun but it is kinda expensive for what you get.

I think I'll add it to my shop when it's finished, so those who like it can 3D-print it.

In the 1970s, famed sculptor Henry Moore moved to a new studio, which looked out on a field of sheep. He made ballpoint sketches of them in all aspects of their self-absorbed sheep-y life his sketchbook, which he gave to his daughter, was later published.
