Our next move was a train to Birmingham and a short flight back to the old country to visit family. No trip back to would be complete without our traditional visit to Hillsborough Forest . We saw big changes since our last visit, with interesting new installations to enjoy on the woodland trail around the lake. Great for the little ones, and big kids (like us) alike.
I've always been curious about the growth model developed so I thought I'd explore it a bit. Here is the model but with expansion governed by grey-scott reaction diffusion.
SculptureJust a little work in progress inspired by the Venus Girdle (Cestum Veneris), which is a ribbon-shaped comb jelly found in the Mediterranean Sea. I haven't figured out yet if I will be adding more to this one or letting it stand the way it is all nice and simple.
