Digging through my files and trying to find all the works still waiting to be uploaded. little older piece here is a kobold names Lupulus who belongs to Tycho0 and was commissioned by Arimah.
Cute little fella is just hanging around :)

The piece belongs to a line of balanced sculptures called The Companions.
It has its own little stand to stand on. It is balanced so it stands on it's leg and requires no additional support. Infact it is not attached to the stand and can just as easily stand on your hand if picked up.

Tactile corpuscle, handmade. These corpuscles are particularly sensitive to touch and vibrations.

Visited the Park for the first time today. Fantastic parklands with some world class sculptures on display.

We spent the best part of 6 hours there and probably (almost certainly) didn't see everything.

The is definitely worth a trip and at only 9.50 per adult is excellent value.

The Compassionate symbolism of the Cat Temple
The name Prasat Banteay Chhmar original meaning was mini citadel temple. In modern Khmer its name can be translated Temple of cats, as Chhmar means cat.
A figure frequent in carvings and bas-reliefs here is the Lokeshvara, the compassionate Bodhisattva. In Mahayana Buddhism Lokeshvara is the ideal of compassion, as he elected not to reach perfect enlightenment as Buddha. Instead, he decided to help others struggling or suffering on their way to Buddhahood.
Lokeshvara was given eleven heads to better hear the suffering of humans, and a thousand arms so he could reach out and help all of them. He is often depicted with a lotus in one of his left hands.
The great god king Jayavarman VII was Mahayana Buddhist emperor, and the worship of Lokeshvara reached a peak during his reign. Several of the buildings built during his reign uses the Lokeshvara frequently.
Prasat Banteay Chhmar is one of the largest temples built in JVIIs time off the main imperial capital city Angkor Thom. It is famous for having many of the most exquisite versions of Lokeshvara depictions. This Lokeshvara in the photo is one of four depictions on the west side.
This temple is situated far west in todays Cambodia, along the Angkor Khmer Highway, the main road connecting the main cities in the Khmer Angkor Empire.
Prasat Banteay Chhmar is 3 hours drive out of Siem Reap. Suitable for a daytrip, but there are lodgings nearby. Sisophon town is 63 km away. This temple is approximately 20 km east of the Thai border.

This sculpture, Eric Gill's "Prospero and Ariel", was one of my favourite pieces of public art in London.

Now it is horribly marred by the protective screen placed over following its vandalization by some odious crank.

"Marvin Lipofskys (19382016) formed and stretched, blown-glass sculpture merged studio glass with fine art. On many of his pieces, Lipofsky employed flocking and etching to conceal the reflection of the glass and accentuate its form. With assistance from Stefan Stefko in 1985, the form for IGS II was blown using a large, wooden mold at the Crystalex Corporations Hantich factory in Nov Bor, Czechoslovakia (now known as the Czech Republic). I suspect it's going to be another excellent sunset tonight but I'm *tired* and still have more I'd like to get done tonight. Can't see it from my place, I'd have to at least walk up the hill behind me or down to the river.

But I sort of like the sun reflecting off of one of the sculptures in the workyard of a local sculptor who does these huge metal pieces. Sort of like a little Pikachu.

Its tough being art.

NEW WORK I love drawing on and working with blocks. Working with new groupings and ways to display. Heree one of the arrangements on a little shelf.
