From the ar(t)chiveThe Anderston Hippos. Created in the 1960s as part of the Anderston Comprehensive Development Area project, they were removed in 2016 when the area was redeveloped once again. At this time, the original hippos were found to be irrepairable, so casts were made and new hippos created which were then re-installed on the newly re-vamped Anderston section of Argyle Street in 2018. The hippos are named (right to left): Kiboko, Alexanderston and Rocky.
