King of the Castle on Dougrie Place in the Castlemilk area of Glasgow. Created by Kenny Hunter, in collaboration with members of the Castlemilk Writers' Group, in 1999, it features a young boy wearing a cape and looking off into the diatance from the top of a large dome. Known locally as The Boy Wonder, it was originally sited on a roundabout on Fernhill Road, but it now stands on a hill amongst some of the areas 1960s tower blocks, looking out across the city.

I love this rather cute little dragon emerging from a sculpted floral panel by the entrance to the former Scottish Cooperative Wholesale Society building at 95 Morrison Street in Glasgow.

"Double Check" by Seward Johnson (1982)Here I am, questioning if I should play Silksong in my little spare time. I remember how I couldn't play casually Hollow knight despite 112% it...
Waiting for a quieter time or get slightly frustrated in the evenings from the learning curve
Picture: obligatory sharing of a handcarving of the Shade I did for myself years ago. It's bog oak wood (I found it fitting). I was inspired by HK sculptures in jars I saw online.
New sculpture.

Love this sculpture on a corble of the Church Of St Jude's Congregation And Hall on Woodlands Road in Glasgow. While it's very well executed, it has always struck me as being a bit out of place on a church building.
Kanjir never signed his work but said..."my work itself is my best signature".
One of my favourite Kanjir quotes:
"When you become so absorbed in your work that beauty flows naturally then your work truly becomes a work of art".
These days, most money spent in the city disappears from its local economy. This isn't a political point, it's just an observation I find interesting and I wonder if it can help explain why Glasgow as a city now struggles in so many ways to make ends meet.
In the 1950s, more than 200,000 people in Glasgow, or about one fifth of its population, were members of a Cooperative Society, and they accounted for 10% of all retail sales in the city. This meant Cooperative Societies were part of a massive circular economy where money earned in the city was spent in businesses owned by the people of the city and any profits made remained in the city's local econony.

Day 10: Algae
(This was going to be cast in brass, until some guy dropped it on the ground and utterly destroyed it. An incomplete process photo is the only thing left)
I arranged found Araucaria leaves so they evoked the motion of algae in water.
The work of Japans Yoshitoshi Kanemaki is surreal. It truly messes with your brain. These kaleidoscopic emulations are especially mind blowing.
