Love this dragon-like creature, which seems to havr one head and two bodies, on the intricately sculpted entrance of the former Strathbungo Parish Church on Pollokshaws Road in Glasgow. Designed by J. MacKissack, it was built in 1886.

Yesterday I picked up the glass and started at about 1:30 with what I thought was the most difficult parts, (Sun and rainbow), but I actually cruised through both of them and bent both of them in about 2 hours.
Then I proceeded to spend the next two hours messing up the G and U and using pretty much the rest of the expensive 8mm ruby argon. -whoops
Since I am not allowed to pump tubes at Urbanglass, I took them on the train to my own studio, where I could pump them and dip them in my giant paint tank- connections painted out in seconds :)
Really excited for these- I made a star wand years ago, but now my skills and ideas have improved.

Joanna Ebenstein uncovers their evolution from death masks, wax effigies and renaissance art to artists muse, erotic fetish and the embodiment of the uncanny.

A slightly provoking angel.Love this decorative carving under column of oriel windows on a tenement on Saracen Street in the Possilpark area of Glasgow. I've seen flowers and plants carved on such supports elsewhere, but only here do you get such wonderful creatures.
