I've been helping Peter with a new sculpture. It's segmented so we can take it apart. Loading into the kiln will be fun

serves 16

cup filtered water (neutral pH only)
1 tsp dried butterfly pea flowers
tsp agar agar powder (scant tsp is fine if easier to measure)
2 tbsp superfine sugar (inside structure)
2 tbsp young coconut milk
1 tbsp strained honeydew pure (or pear, very smooth)
(insert secret ingredient here)
optional: few drops vanilla OR tsp elderflower
coarse sugar crystals (finish)

1. Steep butterfly pea flowers in near-boiling water (57 min) until deep sapphire. Strain gently.
2. While still cool, whisk in agar agar + superfine sugar until fully dissolved.
3. Add coconut milk + strained honeydew/pear pure + optional flavoring. Whisk until uniform.
4. Bring to a full rolling boil and hold 6090 seconds, stirring constantly.
5. Remove from heat immediately and allow to cool slightly.
6. Add secret ingredient, stirring thoroughly to distribute evenly.
7. Pour into a level tray or 11 inch silicone molds greased lightly with cooking spray.
8. Refrigerate for 2 hours or until firm to the touch.
9. Cut into precise 16 equal cubes or remove from molds using a toothpick as needed.

Light dust of coarse sugar crystals on top surface only.
Sides remain glass-clear sapphire.

Serve individually in:
Petite Bouche Gummy Chalices
One cube per vessel.

'Fabeldyr' (Fantasy Animal), cool piece by Prince Henrik of Denmark

yesterday was rough: making plaster moulds---lost one of my previous tiles, but I learned A LOT.

Today, I'm back in my happy place, carving tiles. My background is 2d Art, but this fox and flower is probably my most sculptural and volumetric tile yet.

Je viens de fixer ses piquants ma petite chimre, je vais peut-tre en fabriquer quelques-uns de plus. J'ai aussi du recoller l'anneau qui s'tait fendu un endroit, quand j'ai voulu le poncer un peu trop fort. J'ai hsit lui creuser une petite cavit l'arrire du crne pour y insrer un petit oeuf, mais je me suis ravis. Je sens que j'approche du but, c'est plus le moment de faire n'importe quoi.
