Li Hongbos stretchable sculptures.
Chinese artist Li Hongbo is one of the most renowned masters of paper sculpture. His visually stunning works were showcased at the 2026 Sydney art fair.
Drawing inspiration from the traditional Chinese technique of making folk toys out of honeycomb paper, the artist glues thousands of ultra-thin sheets of paper together into dense, solid blocks.

This little sculpture high up on the Burleigh street facade of Brechin's Bar in Govan, is known as the Govan Cat, and it's one of the most unusual memorials in Glasgow. It's in remembrance of a cat which did a great service to the residents of Govan by single-handedly clearing out a heavy rat infestation, but died from injuries sustained while doing so.

A 1915 war shelter clings to a Dolomites cliff, and in Athens a whole corner house was painted into an owl.After the cardboard robot was rained on for a day and a half, its days are numbered. However, persistence pays off: the traffic cam is sweet on him!
Artrocity Studio presents: a romantic 1950s-style robot pitching woo at the traffic camera outside our high school. He holds blue and orange flowers (school colors) and a heart-shaped box of candies that are "Deluxe Chocolate-Covered Lug Nuts".
Cars have slowed down as drivers try to figure out what is going on. Students have posed with the robot, and several moms and school staff have gushed about how cute it is.
Scrap wood, cardboard boxes, four plastic, corrugated downspouts (for the arms and legs) light bulb. Acrylic paint and fixer.

Love the details on this sculpted decorative panel on Thomas Lennox Watson's late 1880s Citizen Building in St Vincent Place in Glasgow. This was one of the first commercial buildings constructed in the city using red sandstone.
