Peter Lszl Peri started as an abstract artist, but became interested in people, the way they live and their relationships. During the 1930s, Peri made several sculptures of men labouring based on sketches he'd made in London. This relief shows two workmen supervising an L-beam metal girder being lowered. Peri's realist depictions of London life were rooted in the industrial, angular style of the 'constructivist' art movement, such as the girder maintaining an abstract presence. Peri exhibited with the Artists International Association when he moved to England from Budapest in 1933.
I am showing work at two places in Brooklyn at the moment and Internet of Strings opens Saturday evening at 6pm till late. Perfect afterparty for a protest :)

This stick chandelier has some neon I made while living in Texas, New Jersey and NYC in it :). The other tubes from one doodle were on TV with Elmo.
I am also in the glass n' glitter show at the Williamsburg "WAH" center that opened last Saturday.

A trademark shield on the corner of the former Clydesdale Colour and Oil Works on Cook Street in the Tradestone area of Glasgow. This refers to the Stag brand of Blacklock and MacArthur, which was founded 1876. Their advertising slogan was "Ask for the stag brand".
