'Gespiegelt // Reflection'
The window of the historic Villa "Waldfrieden" in the in reflects the work "Basalt Slate" by artist Richard Long.
It's a straight line of jagged, pointed basalt and slate rocks, located on the lawn behind the villa.
The edged creates a stark contrasts to the organic of the villa, which has no right angles.

A pluswise classic look, the Sun Valley ansible is from a bygone time. Your grandparents would gather to hear the latest reports on labour and rations and see the vid feeds from the State. This ansible offered the first opportunity for rural locations to have instant comms with State agencies as well as friends and family. Safetywise it was also one of the first to offer constant-on monitoring to help keep everyone safe from the growing worries of wordcrime and thoughtcrime.
my old friend Fred (Fred & Ned at the Grateful Dead!) has been a sculptor for many years, and recently moved from rock to bronze.
this beautiful little statue is from a photo he took at the final Shoreline show. unfortunately, the camera just can't capture the perfect expression on his face.

Riverbank Love Knot 1, Adelaide, Australia
The Riverbank Love Knot is a stainless steel public art installation in Adelaide, Australia, located in Park 12 near the University Footbridge, designed by Mulloway Studio and unveiled on Valentine's Day 2018 to provide a dedicated spot for couples to attach "love locks" and symbolize enduring love, offering an alternative to placing them on the nearby footbridge. The intertwined knot design represents unbreakable binding and eternal fidelity.

Seattle-area people, take yourselves to the Frye Art Museum (which never charges for admission) and take in the two exhibits there. One, called "Insatiable Beings", features gorgeous, elegant masks and sculptures by artist Beau Dick with surprising, stunning takes on many traditional mythical beings and archetypes, plus some of his inventions. (I'll talk about the other exhibit another time when I've taken another look at it.)
