asked about in-progress stuff... This is NIX 42124. The body has been prepped, holes for previous stands or hardware filled, overs clean, sand, clean. New holes cut, filed, sanded. Decals placed, these are a mask for the proceeding painting. And, in these, prep basecoat of self-etching primer is applied. That dries for 8-12 hrs, then 3 coats of final colour. Same drying time. Once it's allowed to dry/cure, the interiour and head beging to be attached.
Tip for you use epoxy putty use.
As it is setting up use a very sharp razor blade to slice the top to a level with that which you are filling. Once cured it is a lot of sanding to knock it down and if you do it while still in putty stage it will grip the blade and get drawn out somewhat.
Then, when you are within the first 10 min of it setting up, some isopropyl gently rubbed on it will smooth out the surface so that you can feather the edge to zero and clean it up so well you will have to do next to none or no sanding. 5 min now saves you 20 later with a better result.

Bee-52 by Daniel Moore - From the artist statement: "Bee-52" is a kinetic representation of the natural, aeronautical and recreational elements present at Lake Stanley Draper. This hybrid creature combines the influence of Tinker AFB and it B-52 aircraft with a variety of flora and fauna including the Oklahoma State insect, the European Honey Bee.On the banks of the River Wear at Durham, by the Old Racecourse, sits this bronze sculpture of the 'Durham Ox'.
I like the way the creature is depicted gazing back at the city's crowning jewel, Durham Cathedral.
Created by artist/sculptor Andrew Burton in 1997, the installation references to the legend of the 'Dun Cow' and how the final resting place for the mortal remains of St Cuthbert was found.

At this year's Chelsea Flower show the unusual garden Sarah Eberle designed celebrated edgelands and featured a sleeping Gaia. The willow hair of Gaia was made by Tom Hare, and the sleeping figure was made by artist Tim Wood from a fallen tree.

Went to Brookgreen Gardens in Murrells Inlet SC after a recommendation from my uncle. It was beautiful, and the weather was gorgeous as well. The sculptures and gardens were excellent -- highly recommended if anyone is ever making a trip to Myrtle Beach SC.
(I didn't take any pictures which really do this place justice. It was all fantastic)

Most of our field techs never get past the doubleplus horror of a syncaster. When new, they were often left with flesh and muscle attached wherever it did not interfere with the wetware integration. Doubleplus horrorwise compared to this.
This unit still had a broadcast range of 1.3km on A, B, G, E, but the Theta waves were nill. Either it never had them, which is plus doubtwise, or that function of this brain has been degraded over time.
Recovery protocols were successful and safe. With this being boxed for now and possibly reflashed for repurpose. For now, mammals can reenter that area safely.
