In 2018, the Hermitage Amsterdam hosted Classic Beauties, an exhibition on neoclassicism. Featuring over 60 works by 25 leading artists, it explored the influence of antiquity on 18th-century art.
Until 2022 it hosted exhibitions featuring art from the Hermitage in Saint Petersburg but eventually, the ties with Russia were severed, due to the Russian aggression in Ukraine. By fall 2023, the museum was renamed to HART Museum

Set up a new trolley for my / unit. It's really difficult in Australia to find low-profile welding trolleys that handle a heavy machine (20+KG), AND have a long shelf for the unit itself. That's compounded by a design quirk on mine - the shield gas inlet is dead centre, which means the fittings align with the closest point of the gas bottle. The solution - standoffs for the bottle's cradle (until I can make something more engineered). Soon, more .

I have titled this project "The Invaders." Its a collection of freeform three-dimensional interpretations of landers (machines designed to land on the surface of a celestial body) created by space agencies.

I visited Jacob Fishman and the new Lightwriters public access neon studio in Chicago. I learned lots from his "Neon Engineers Handbook" and he has been one of my neon heros for years.

Of course, I was dazzled seeing all the Bruce Nauman pieces, patterns and rejects (Jacob is Nauman's main neon fabricator)- and I am a big Bruce Nauman fan. That copy of "mystic truths" has been all over the world and is the "living template" for the piece.

Jacob makes me wanna play more with radio.

I loved seeing the Bing neon happy sad outlets at Light Writers. It's so exciting that there is now a public access neon shop in Chicago - it's been needed for years with SAIC and UW students graduating and not having a place to work for years. I am gonna send some class proposals to Jacob and Zoell (his daughter) to return one day an teach a class :)

Artic is the third luminaire in a series of light fixtures in which parts of a broken pressure washer are reused. The polybutylene terephthalate housing of the pressure washers electric motor has been repurposed as a lampshade.

I dont wa$te my time is an artwork by Dutch artist Selwyn Senatori. Presented to the public in January 2022, this oversized pedal bin symbolizes the idea that time is our ultimate luxury.
It stands, inconspicuous and dented, on a concrete pedestal at Rokin.
The piece was part of the Out of Office Forever project, which reimagined office life during COVID-19, including oversized office items like giant coffee mugs, displayed in spring 2021.

Interestingly, the mask of Father Time bears an uncanny resemblence to John Burnet Senior, the father of the building's architect John James Burnet Jnr.

The clock above the main entrance of Charing Cross Mansions in Glasgow sculpted by W.B. Rhind. On either side of the clock are figures representing Spring (left) and Autumn (right), while above it are figures of Commerce and Industry. The clock face itself is surrounded by Zodiac signs, and below it the bearded face of Father Time emerges from the stone work. All in all, a rather beautiful clock filled with a lot of symbolism.

J'espre que vous aurez une belle journe pleine de lumire ! C'est mon dada jouer avec la lumire ces temps cis. J'ai eu l'ide de mettre une chandelle derrire ce petit coeur. L'effet est impressionnant le soir mais la photo ne sort pas bien. Il faut imaginer un immense coeur qui se projette sur le plafond et les murs. Il est aussi petit sur la table que grand sur la projection.
