I'm happy to report that the errant penguin I spotted yesterday has successfully made its way back home, with only minor injuries, to the new(ish) arts venue at 522 Sauchiehall Street.

Une boule faites de rondelles d'acier recycles sur laquelle j'aurais pu compulser encore trs longtemps...

Je vais la laisser aller, comme a les imperfections vont arrter de me gosser.

Quand je fais un tre vivant, je ne suis pas comme a, vouloir la perfection, chercher l'absolu. Je laisse la bte exprimer sa posture. J'ai une intention trs prcise quand je cre mais ma sculpture merge sa guise aussi.

Pas la boule... ce sera la seule.

I chose wisely today. Often, when I go out for the day, or a weekend, I am not alone. I am with family, friends, or a partner. Today I took myself to London, checked into a B&B at the back of Tate Modern, and then took myself to the to see their latest production of . I loved every moment of it. I need to do this more often.
Today's appeared to have been made of polystyrene. This in my garden has definitely seen better days.

The decision to move it meant it could be placed alongside a new statue of her consort, Prince Albert, who had died in 1861. At this time, it appears the statue of Victoria was also altered by its original sculptor, so that the pose of the horses in the two sculptures better complimented each other. However, the led to rumours that the original statue had been replaced during the move.

The 1850s Equestrian Monument to Queen Victoria and the 1830s Scott Monument on Glasgow's George Square. Queen Victoria was not always stood on this site, and was originally installed on the corner of St Vincent Place and Buchanan Street. It was only moved to its current location in 1866, while a public toilet was built on St Vincent Place where it once stood.

Monument for a Wullok, c'est ainsi que s'appelle cette sculpture de Stief Desmet, ralise en 2018 dans le cadre de la triennale Beaufort. Wullok, c'est du dialecte ouest-flandrien (West-Vlaams), en franais, on parle de bigorneau. Il s'agit d'un bronze qui a verdi avec le temps.

La prochaine dition de la triennale aura lieu en 2027.

Monument for a Wullok, that's the aname of this sculpture by Stief Desmet, created in 2018 as part of the Beaufort triennial. Wullok is from the West-Flandrian dialect (West-Vlaams), in English, we speak of periwinkle. It is a bronze that has greened over time.

The next edition of the triennial will take place in 2027.

The 1901 cast-iron Saracen Fountain emerging from the trees in Alexandra Park in Glasgow. Designed by David Watson Stevenson, it was made by Walter MacFarlane's Saracen Foundry in Possilpark. It looks impressive now, but just think how much more impressive it would look if it were fully restored!

These units were common in the final stages of the Conflict. Artificial memory was resource and time costly with having a short life span in the field. Organic storage was, per TB, less costly in time and resource.

This unit is in excellent condition. Any useful historic data will be archive and then the unit flashed and repurposed at the Institute.

Today's is a at a nearby Festival Garden. My headspace was not good earlier and I had an opportunity to meet with friends from work. I took it. It was only an hour but, man, it was a good hour.

Cette bote est pour ainsi dire termine. J''ai retrouv deux carnets, un qui date de 2003 et un autre de 2021. Il me reste dans chacun d'eux quelques pages remplir. J'avais pas prvu de finir cette bote de cette manire, mais je n'ai pas rsist l'occasion d'y ajouter ces fragments de mon "travail" perdus...

Is it just me, or are other people also missing the Maggie's Art Trail Scotties now they're gone They brought a lot of colour, brightness and love to the streets of Glasgow while they were here.

Statues Also Breathe involves 108 students and turns sculpture into something collective.
I like that. Art education becomes much more interesting when students actually become part of the work.
