Father Clyde on the Clydesdale Bank Building on Saint Vincent Place in Glasgow. I love the fish poking out of his beard, and the pair in his hair holding up a ring. It was sculpted by Charles Grassby in the 1870s.

The statues around the entrance to the offices of the former Fairfield Shipbuilding and Engineering Company in Govan. Sculpted by James Pittendrigh MacGillivary in 1890, they represent an Engineer (left) and a Shipwright (right). Above these two are a pair of mermaids (not clearly visible from this angle) and the head of a Viking Sea God wearing a winged helment.

This large metalwork wall-scultpure caught my eye at Easter (only a small part is shown in the image) - the interwoven repeated crucifixion-posture seemed appropriate for this Christian occasion and location. Placed in a side arch of the crypt of the Roman Catholic cathedral of Berlin, Germany (St. Hedwig's). This is by American artist ektor garcia (born California, 1985). Berlin, Germany, April 2026.

Rabby from Gall Force statue by Mono Craft

The unicorn on the top of the William Annan Fountain on Renfield Street in Glasgow. Designed by Robert Lorimer and sculpted by Scott and Rae, this public drinking fountain was erected in 1915. It was presented to the City of Glasgow by William Annan, a wine and spirits merchant from Port Dundas.

Had a chance to visit my girlfriend The Duck Girl, a bronze sculpture created by Paul Manship in 1911. I used to have lunch with her during warm months. Just me an a dozen other folks sitting on the edge of the fountain, enjoying sunshine and people watching.
I miss lunch with my old friend. It was good to see her again.
